A word about the
MUSIC
Why am I doing this?
This site started out as a
response to what I saw as a reduction in the level of service by
local media to the community. Television, Newspaper and Radio
outlets are cutting staff and relying more and more on "prepackaged"
news and information fronted by Corporate Public Relations and the
Government.
TSP is an experiment in the
"citizen media" of the future, combining global reach with local
focus. Using my experience in both electronics and journalism,
I have constructed my own audio/video/web production facility and
can take the studio on the road to create content at a fraction of
the cost of the old media.
But what is that content?
I feel that my mission is to tell the stories that might otherwise
go untold about the people, places and events that make Northern
California a special place to live.
I may or may not agree with any
views or opinions expressed in these articles and interviews, that's
not the point. What's important is that this is a place where
open and free discussion is welcome.
